Astronauts & world cup

I had read some exotic news which is humorous and sounds pretty. Football fever has spread to astronauts who perform the duty on the International Space Station orbiting around the earth. They get together for cheering football match while they are having dinner and shouting out around the table. Caldwell Dyson lives on the space station with two Russian cosmonauts, including Alexander Skvortsov who is really keen on soccer as a part of his life. And other crews prefer listening to his viewpoint on the games. They have a time limit on space for 6 months then come back to the earth.

In my opinion, World Cup fever has effect to many people. It is not easy to spend several hours in space without activities such as, sports. There is no area to work out and do anything except daily routine. I think it's a good idea to spend time to do and interesting activities like cheering football as they do. This is the one of mine interesting that I always spend time with.

Puea Thai to oppose Budget Bill

The reason I chose the news about the People's Alliance for Democracy is because they were quite popular in the past few years. They are known for the yellow shirts, where they blocked the road in front of parliament.

A man name Preecha Tricharoon who joined the People’s Alliance for Democracy and was convicted of the attempted murder of five police officers. He was trying to use the blue Toyota pickup truck to kill Pol Sub-Lt Kriangkrai Kingsamee, Pol Cpl Pongthai Chuechumsuk, Pol L/C Peerachet Tharapanjasap, Pol Cpl Setthawut Buathum and Pol Cpl Wutthichai Khampongsak which were the guard for the Government house. As the result, the Criminal Court has found him guilty for the attempt to kill 5 officers, but the jail sentence is suspended because he has no previous conviction.

In my opinion, whether red shirts or yellow shirts, they have to rights to kill anyone that is innocence. Also, we all have to obey and respect the court which is the best institution that has the justice and fair on everyone.

Fashion fair planned to help speed up sales

The reason that I should this story because I'm interested in fashion and there are many famous brand name in this expo which people may like it. There is also has a designer's competition that will showed on TV. This expo was arrange to help peoplae around Ratchaprasong area and I want to show that Thai people still love and want to help each other.

The Thailand Fashion Expo in October is expected to help further improve business in the Ratchaprasong area. The Commerce Ministry will join with CentralWorld, Siam Paragon, and leading local brand owners. The government has funding, 50 million, include business matchmaking, and exhibitions of leading local products. The fair would include conference with two world-renowned designers who are Vivienne Westwood and Nunthirat "Koy" Suwannagate. They will showcase their work at the event. In parallel with this expo, a designer competition reality show will be transmit on Channel 9.

I'm really agree with this project because the effect of political crisis is make a lot of trouble to many owners business around an area. The reason that they have this project because they want Thai's economy to get better after the political crisis. That means Thai poeple still love and taking care of each other. I'm glad to here this news and hope that Thailand will better than this as soon as possible.

Thai Environment

There are a lot of problems in Thailand. Now a day the biggest problem in our country is about environment. Day by day trees are decreasing by human. Human uses a lot of natural resources to support their life. Human also against our environment. This article is very interesting for me, because our environment is very important. If we are not help to protect our environment, our environment will be worse. Good life is relate to good environment.

Thai environment has many problems. Thai government are not try to solve this problem. They don't care about it. Many people are destroys the environment every day. They are many things that we destroy them such as cut a tree, smoking, air-conditioning, and etc. Thai government still reject the program to protect it. If no one care about it, soon it will gone.

In my opinion, I think this is really bad for my country. Thailand has a lot of beautiful beach, forests and mountains. I think that if we don't protect our environment, Thailand will don't have a nice place.

Govt advised, use Thaksin's money

I choose this story because this topic is the Thailand hottest news in current year. Because Thaksin did a lot of affect to Thailand and those affect were destroy our coutry. Many people love him and many people dislike him too but the same thing that they have are they want to know about the final verdict of the Supreme Court's decision.

After the ruled not to accept for consideration the appeal by Thaksin and his family to against the seizure of 46 billion bath and this is the final verdict that the Supreme Court's decision, Thanawat Polwichai, director of the Economic and Business Forecasting Centre said that " The Thai government should consider the ways to use the money which confiscated from former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra."

In my opinion, I think Thaksin should not do the corruption from the first. He should satisfy in what he has because it is better than many people. If I were him and got the money as much as he has, I won't destroy the country and accepted a Court's decision. Moreover, I won't let people to be risk and endanger to help me from what I know that I did wrong. I don't like an untruthfulness so I did not accept in what he asked his people to do many things for him. Although I get that money is very important thing in life now, I also don't understand in some people who help him to destroy the country that where is the benefit if we give back his money and forget in what he has done. It's true that Thai politics always have a corruption, but other politician did not do the thing he does. I think we should start a new version and change an aspect of politics to be more useful to our country. If we cuold do that, I think Thailand will be one of the successful country of the world.

A million for the learder Redshirt's liberty

Mr. Natthawut and his backers were imprisoned for criminal case by Thai commando. Then, their lawyers arrange the data file and process the legislative methods for give them the liberty back. The government demanded a ransom of one million baht per person. There are many supporters who call themselves Red-Shirt encouraging their leaders while they are in prison. And now, the judgment is on process and it depends on judge if they will set on free.

I think they should not released by any case because of their terrible deeds which affected to many citizens even those people do not concern, including me. The effects are higher than a million baht that they could indemnify. Nowadays, the government and population are trying so hard to restore calm after the battle and fix the problem that we got from that crisis.

Global Warming

I have heard the news from radio and watched on the television today. They said about the changing climate rapidly. The weather in Thailand increases up from last year, especially in this summer. There are many strange things that happens on the world and the effect is getting worse every day. It does not just affect to people but also animal. They give the example from the cow case. They said although the farm has enough grass and food for cows but they don’t eat anything and obviously lose their weights. Many large farms in Thailand get a big impact from this crisis. They feed their cows as well as they can but it seems nothing is better. The cows refuse the food and act like they have no energy to do anything. The other case of people is 15 deaths. The most of them is the soldiers on the border areas. It is the reaction from their body. The brain stops working immediately when the climate is hot to the max in the afternoon. Moreover, they said the temperature will increase one or two degrees Celsius.

So, I think we should begin doing something for save our world. The first thing we should start with a little things which we can do in the daily life such as turn off the light after work or open the window and turn on the fan instead off using air-condition. There is many things that we can do for our normal world as it was. People in the world should save energy of environment for the earth and future.

Cybercrime on rise in Thailand

The reason that I chose this new because nowadays I see a lot of news about cybercrime in the internet and Mr. Nopchai Tangtritham is the Senior Technical Consultant at Symantec Thailand and I think he will know a lot of things about this problem.

This new is talking about thailand's cybercrime ranking in the Asia Pacific region has risen due to an increase in the online population, while the global underground economy continues growing without any impact from the global economy, according to a new Symantec Internet Security Threat Report, which highlights key trends in cybercrime in 2009. Nopchai continued that the report also found cybercriminals have turned their attentions toward enterprises for monetary gain from compromised corporate intellectualproperty (IP).

In my opinion I think if we not stop this problem network in Thailand will weak and easy for hacking data such as banking and secret file in government

Cabinet orders review of bus plan

The reason I chose this news is because Mr. Trairong Suwannakhiri is the person who is very famous for government in Thailand. Although he had work for this plan for only few years

This news is talking about plan for Transport Ministry's proposal to lease 4,000 NGV-powered air conditioned buses for the Bangkok Mass Transit Authority, including the Office of the National Economic and Social Development Board, have previously disagreed with the project.

In my opinion I think if this plan was successful I think Thai economy will develop a lot because this plan will decrease about explain for transportation.

Bangkok voted world's best city

Bangkok is the capital city of Thailand, and it receives a valuable reward from a famous Research association. Also, makes me very proud of my country, even though I do not live in the capital city. If it is just a survey within the country I will not be interested in this news.

The news is about the capital city of Thailand, Bangkok, receives the award from ravel + Leisure, in association with ROI Research Inc which indicated that Bangkok is the best city for tourists to visit. While the runners up are Florence in Italym San Miguel de Allende in Mexico and Rome Italy. Also, Chiang Mai, another city from Thailand was fifth.

I think Bangkok does not worth the award, because it has so many problems within the town. Traffic jam and floods in rainy season are still the main problem for Bangkok. So, the city that should receive the award is Chaing Mai.

Colleges get a dressing down over short skirts

This news is also very important for me. The news published by The Nation talks about the inappropriate dresses in school. This news should be a warning to all the schools including universities about dressing rules.

The Office of the Private Education Commission announced the warning to the schools that their students dressed up inappropriately. The schools with these students will be shut down for 7 days. Mr. Charnwit Thapsuwan said the he had received complaint about the students wearing the skirt that were too short, which is inappropriate. He also concerned about the students safety, they might end up being the victims of crime by wearing the skirts that are too short.

For me, the girls can freely wear whatever they want on the free days, but not school days. Schools or universities are the places that we come to study. We should pay respect to these places. On the other hand, the girls can wear short skirts when they go out to cinema or wherever they wanted.

Books for youths

This is the news that excited me the most compared to the other news. The news about a book festival for youth that is happening at Queen Sirikit National Centre. I am the person who like o read books so this festival will be useful for me and the other bookworms.

This book fair is called "Book Festival for Young People 2010" at Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre. It is organized by the Publishers and Booksellers Association of Thailand for the 8th time. The theme for the fair is "Discover the World of Thai Literature, Cultivate Reading Habits, Wisely Educate Children to Build the Nation". The book that will be in this fair is aimed to help the country pass the crisis and ethical values. There will be more than 300 booths available and books with discounted prices.

For me, this is a very good event for book lovers, especially for the young kids. It encourages kids to read books and will help them develop their understandings toward the world in the future. Without these kind of event, the kids would probably spend their days in front of computer playing games and wasting their days worthlessly.

Thailand's PC market recovering

The Asia-Pacific excluding Japan PC market grew 15 percent sequentially and 36 percent year-on-year in the second quarter to reach 27 million units. Meanwhile, Thailand's PC market is recovering after political turmoil, according to IDC.

Bryan Ma, Associate Vice President of Asia-Pacific Devices and Peripherals Research at IDC, disclosed preliminary results showing that the PC industry was just 1 percent below forecast, as better-than-expected desktop PC shipments helped to offset the shortfall in portable PCs.

"The second quarter grew 15 percent sequentially and 36 percent year-on-year to reach 27 million units. Portable PC shipments in markets like China and Indonesia came in short of our aggressive forecasts this quarter" he said.

"But heavy demand for notebooks will still be a key driver in the upcoming years despite potential competitive pressure coming from media tablets like Apple's iPad."

Fortunately, Thailand was able to recover more quickly than expected towards the end of the quarter as the political turmoil subsided, thus helping the entire market there. Singapore was also on track despite earlier concerns about limited sales.

Lenovo continued to lead the region while rival HP continued its downward slide, in part as it came off its strong performance in China last year. The commercial sector helped Dell sustain its third-place position given the vendor's historical strengths in that region.

In the second quarter, Lenovo continued to lead the region with a 20.3 percent share while HP slipped 11.6 percent. Dell ranked third at 9.6 percent. Acer and Asus shared 8.7 percent and 5.2 percent, respectively.

Why this news? : I am one of the people who use computer and interesting about the economy. So pc plus economy, the result is PC market.
Summary: Thailand's PC market is recovering after political turmoil and more quickly than expected.
Comment: I don’t really deep understand this new but at least I knew that our pc market is coming back.

Young Thai Pianist

In my opinion I think the people in this news is intelligent pianist. Actually I am one people who play piano, So this news is the news that I interest and this is why I like to introduce and suggest everyone to know about our proud.

It starts off with this boy Jayanat age of 16 from Thailand, hewon the top prize of the Walenstein Competition, during the summer of 2009, he was agree into prestigiou International Sommerakademie Mozarteum, Salzburg, Austria, in the studio of the world renown pianist Dominique Merlet. Now he will make his Bangkok the first round of his carry at the auditorium, 5th floor of Bangkok Art and Culture Centre on July 29 at 7pm.

Gifted Thai pianist Jayanat Wisaijorn makes us proud to be Thai and I hope Thai people will interest his show and enjoy it.

The sound of silence

The reason that I choose this entertainment news because this news is so impressive. So I recommend this news to everyone.

The youth of today is growing up in a computer age with so many diversions. Facebook, Twitter, texts, TV, Playstation, Wii, music and many other. Anyway, An afternoon of mime on July 4, the 11th instalment of "Pantomime in bangkok" went some way towards dispelling this diagnosis. The tree hour show without words, performing various sketches that require a bit of concentration on the part of the audience. The show had a japanese flavour, as the majority of performers with a Chaplinesque tale of a boy. Their performance was the least tradition but very refreshing and innovative.

I think teenager should pay some attention in ones dominate social exchanges such as mime. It was an unusual and rewarding type of entertainment that works in any age and any language, and drives home how little silence there actually is in our lives.

Thongchai vows to do best for WGC-Bridgestone spot

The reason I choose this news, because I am a person who interested in golf. I used to study golf when I was young but now I didn't study golf anymore because of sunburn. So when I saw this news on the website, I was to be excited because Thongchai Jaidee is my favorite thai golf player and I want to suggest everyone to know about him.
Thongchai Jaidee has slip down one place from 47th to 51st in the world ranking. but all of Thai people believe he's can return to the world's top 50 for a place at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational in August
After I read this news, I think this news had clearly show me that Thai people cannot play golf as good as the foreigners. Maybe it's because the experience is not enough and government didn’t support people about sport.

Paradorn confident of win in Jakarta

My favorite sport is tennis, this is the main reason I choose to do this news. Also, Paradon Srichapan and the Ratiwatana twins are my heroes. I used to watch these players play in Thailand, which they always did well in homeland. So, this time they are going out to Jakata, Indonesia, which is very exciting and I want to watch them win.

Paradon Srichapan is the captain of Thailand tennis team, and his teammates toward to Jakata to play the Davis Cup. The game will be held at the Gelora Bung Karno Tennis Stadium. Which Paradon is so confident of winning the match in Indonesia. On the other hand, the Ratiwatana twins will play the doubles. Where as, Kitiipong Wachiramanowong and Veerapat Doakmaiklee will play in the singles.

I think Thai tennis team will defeat the Indonesian team, because Thai team has more experience in the international tournament than the Indonesians. Also, Paradon has been doing well in the world ranking before. In addition, the Rattiwatana twins has played together for many years. With these reasons, I am sure that Thailand's Davis Cup team will succeed in the tournament.
