Puea Thai to oppose Budget Bill

The reason I chose the news about the People's Alliance for Democracy is because they were quite popular in the past few years. They are known for the yellow shirts, where they blocked the road in front of parliament.
A man name Preecha Tricharoon who joined the People’s Alliance for Democracy and was convicted of the attempted murder of five police officers. He was trying to use the blue Toyota pickup truck to kill Pol Sub-Lt Kriangkrai Kingsamee, Pol Cpl Pongthai Chuechumsuk, Pol L/C Peerachet Tharapanjasap, Pol Cpl Setthawut Buathum and Pol Cpl Wutthichai Khampongsak which were the guard for the Government house. As the result, the Criminal Court has found him guilty for the attempt to kill 5 officers, but the jail sentence is suspended because he has no previous conviction.
In my opinion, whether red shirts or yellow shirts, they have to rights to kill anyone that is innocence. Also, we all have to obey and respect the court which is the best institution that has the justice and fair on everyone.

Cybercrime on rise in Thailand

The reason that I chose this new because nowadays I see a lot of news about cybercrime in the internet and Mr. Nopchai Tangtritham is the Senior Technical Consultant at Symantec Thailand and I think he will know a lot of things about this problem.
This new is talking about thailand's cybercrime ranking in the Asia Pacific region has risen due to an increase in the online population, while the global underground economy continues growing without any impact from the global economy, according to a new Symantec Internet Security Threat Report, which highlights key trends in cybercrime in 2009. Nopchai continued that the report also found cybercriminals have turned their attentions toward enterprises for monetary gain from compromised corporate intellectualproperty (IP).
In my opinion I think if we not stop this problem network in Thailand will weak and easy for hacking data such as banking and secret file in government

Cabinet orders review of bus plan

The reason I chose this news is because Mr. Trairong Suwannakhiri is the person who is very famous for government in Thailand. Although he had work for this plan for only few years
This news is talking about plan for Transport Ministry's proposal to lease 4,000 NGV-powered air conditioned buses for the Bangkok Mass Transit Authority, including the Office of the National Economic and Social Development Board, have previously disagreed with the project.
In my opinion I think if this plan was successful I think Thai economy will develop a lot because this plan will decrease about explain for transportation.

Bangkok voted world's best city

Bangkok is the capital city of Thailand, and it receives a valuable reward from a famous Research association. Also, makes me very proud of my country, even though I do not live in the capital city. If it is just a survey within the country I will not be interested in this news.
The news is about the capital city of Thailand, Bangkok, receives the award from ravel + Leisure, in association with ROI Research Inc which indicated that Bangkok is the best city for tourists to visit. While the runners up are Florence in Italym San Miguel de Allende in Mexico and Rome Italy. Also, Chiang Mai, another city from Thailand was fifth.
I think Bangkok does not worth the award, because it has so many problems within the town. Traffic jam and floods in rainy season are still the main problem for Bangkok. So, the city that should receive the award is Chaing Mai.

Colleges get a dressing down over short skirts

This news is also very important for me. The news published by The Nation talks about the inappropriate dresses in school. This news should be a warning to all the schools including universities about dressing rules.
The Office of the Private Education Commission announced the warning to the schools that their students dressed up inappropriately. The schools with these students will be shut down for 7 days. Mr. Charnwit Thapsuwan said the he had received complaint about the students wearing the skirt that were too short, which is inappropriate. He also concerned about the students safety, they might end up being the victims of crime by wearing the skirts that are too short.
For me, the girls can freely wear whatever they want on the free days, but not school days. Schools or universities are the places that we come to study. We should pay respect to these places. On the other hand, the girls can wear short skirts when they go out to cinema or wherever they wanted.

Books for youths

This is the news that excited me the most compared to the other news. The news about a book festival for youth that is happening at Queen Sirikit National Centre. I am the person who like o read books so this festival will be useful for me and the other bookworms.
This book fair is called "Book Festival for Young People 2010" at Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre. It is organized by the Publishers and Booksellers Association of Thailand for the 8th time. The theme for the fair is "Discover the World of Thai Literature, Cultivate Reading Habits, Wisely Educate Children to Build the Nation". The book that will be in this fair is aimed to help the country pass the crisis and ethical values. There will be more than 300 booths available and books with discounted prices.
For me, this is a very good event for book lovers, especially for the young kids. It encourages kids to read books and will help them develop their understandings toward the world in the future. Without these kind of event, the kids would probably spend their days in front of computer playing games and wasting their days worthlessly.

Thailand's PC market recovering

The Asia-Pacific excluding Japan PC market grew 15 percent sequentially and 36 percent year-on-year in the second quarter to reach 27 million units. Meanwhile, Thailand's PC market is recovering after political turmoil, according to IDC.
Bryan Ma, Associate Vice President of Asia-Pacific Devices and Peripherals Research at IDC, disclosed preliminary results showing that the PC industry was just 1 percent below forecast, as better-than-expected desktop PC shipments helped to offset the shortfall in portable PCs."The second quarter grew 15 percent sequentially and 36 percent year-on-year to reach 27 million units. Portable PC shipments in markets like China and Indonesia came in short of our aggressive forecasts this quarter" he said.
"But heavy demand for notebooks will still be a key driver in the upcoming years despite potential competitive pressure coming from media tablets like Apple's iPad."
Fortunately, Thailand was able to recover more quickly than expected towards the end of the quarter as the political turmoil subsided, thus helping the entire market there. Singapore was also on track despite earlier concerns about limited sales.Lenovo continued to lead the region while rival HP continued its downward slide, in part as it came off its strong performance in China last year. The commercial sector helped Dell sustain its third-place position given the vendor's historical strengths in that region.
In the second quarter, Lenovo continued to lead the region with a 20.3 percent share while HP slipped 11.6 percent. Dell ranked third at 9.6 percent. Acer and Asus shared 8.7 percent and 5.2 percent, respectively. Why this news? : I am one of the people who use computer and interesting about the economy. So pc plus economy, the result is PC market.
Summary: Thailand's PC market is recovering after political turmoil and more quickly than expected.
Comment: I don’t really deep understand this new but at least I knew that our pc market is coming back.
